More about Connecticut

Connecticut is a state rich in history and tradition. The state offers many experiences that will bring residents and visitors back in time such as following Connecticut's Freedom Trail to see many sites that served as Underground Railroad safe houses where fugitives hid from slave hunters during the 1800s. Or you can visit to the town of Mystic which features a re-created 19th-century New England seaport and an Aquarium.

There are dozens of fairs and festivals including the Mystic Chowderfest, Danbury State Fair or even a Day out with Thomas the tank engine. You might enjoy an afternoon away from your apartment at one of the state's ski areas and boating adventures. Other attractions renters may want to visit include Mystic Seaport, The Barnum Museum, The Mark Twain House in Hartford, the Connecticut Children's Museum and the Peabody Museum of Natural History in New Haven. Lots of residents find a trip to the beach, a night at a casino or touring Newport among their favorite destinations.

Connecticut is home of several top educational institutions including Yale University and the University of Connecticut. It is also contains several large metropolitan areas including Bridgeport, New Haven, Hartford, Stamford and Waterbury where many residents live and work.
