Beach lovers will find this neighborhood especially appealing as Stickney Point Road is one of the few areas where you can cross the Little Sarasota Bay to reach the Gulf Coast at Sarasota Beach. The Garden Grove apartments can be found right off Route 72 allowing you to reach the warm waters of the Bay in just a few minutes. Locally you will find a Publix Supermarket so you won’t have to go far for food shopping. There is also a decent selection of local eateries along with some chain restaurants near here such as Tijuana Flats, Papa John’s Pizza, and De Marco’s Italian Grill. You can even treat yourself to an occasional ice cream at Dairy Queen. If you want to do some real shopping once you move here, take a drive down Beneva Road to the Westfield Sarasota Square mall. The center includes loads of specialty stores in addition to a Costco wholesale store and an AMC movie theater. Serious golfers will likely try everything they can to get in a few rounds at the TPC Prestancia golf club located within two miles of Garden Grove. There are a few large recreation sites nearby if you just want to spend some time outdoors such as Red Bug Slough and Twin Lakes Park.
