Living in northern Peoria at the Prairie Lakes apartments has its advantages with attractive views of several ponds with fountains and lots of wooded parklands that create a tranquil backdrop. All this serenity is still just walking distance from a pizza shop and a local bar. With simple access to Route 40, residents can glide down to the medical centers and downtown Peoria in only fifteen minutes. A few miles south of here you can get to a couple of golf courses and the Forest Park Nature Preserve offering a variety of programs and hiking trails. Having access to Route 6 nearby will make it easy to get to the airport.
Location
Look for the Prairie Lakes apartments near the intersection of Route 40 and 6 well north of the city. This neighborhood includes a small retail plaza, some park land, and a recreational trail that can be used for biking and running.

Little Caesars Pizza and a local bar are just steps from this community. Immediately north of here you will be able to fill prescriptions at a Walgreens store. On the south side of Prairie Lakes renters can restock their refrigerator at the Kroger market. A few eateries in the area include Einstein Bros Bagels, Panera Bread, sushi and sandwich shops.
