The Forest Ridge apartments present a wooded neighborhood on the north side of Cedar Rapids that is just a short drive from the downtown area. This is a great location for members of Saint Luke’s Hospital who will appreciate a short commute. Other employers such are Rockwell Collins and Transamerica are also within reach.

Location

Sierra Drive is located off of J Avenue NE, not far from an entrance to I-380. There are two large parks, some businesses, and an elementary school in this neighborhood.

There is actually a decent selection of restaurants on the opposite side of the interstate and just a little north of Forest Ridge. You can get some pizza, Chinese, Mexican or Indian fare, or perhaps some refreshing ice cream. There is also a Hy-Vee market and Casey’s General Store where you can pick up some food items to stew up your own meals. If you take a ride up 1^st Ave you can get to the Lindale Mall for some power shopping.

Recreation

Residents of Forest Ridge can hop right on the Cedar River Trail for an extensive bike ride around the city where you can explore a variety of parks, lakes and the river. From this spot you can get down to Theatre Cedar Rapids or The Paramount Theatre to attend a variety of stage performances.
