More about Louisiana

One of the most popular things to do in Louisiana is to take a trip to the famous French Quarter in New Orleans. Renters can enjoy Cajun and Creole dishes and listen to terrific jazz music. While there, consider taking a cooking course at the New Orleans School of Cooking or visiting the Audubon Zoo. For some culture, residents can tour the New Orleans Museum of Art.

Another popular activity in Louisiana is to take a swamp river cruise in Henderson or Houma and throughout Cajun Country. In Shreveport, the riverboat casinos are a big attraction as is Sci-Port, Louisiana's Science Center.

There are plenty of things for kids to do in Louisiana too. The Lafayette Science Museum, Children's Museum of Acadiana, Odysseys Shipwreck and Treasure Adventure in New Orleans are big hits. The Baton Rouge Zoo, USS KIDD in Baton Rouge and the Louisiana State Museum are also terrific places to spend the day away from your apartment or to bring visitors.

Louisiana is not short on educational institutions either. There are thousands of students who attend the Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, University of Louisiana in Lafayette and Southeastern Louisiana University in Hammond among other schools.
