Bottom Line

Academy Woods Apartments in Florence, NJ are part of a quiet suburban town near the Delaware River. Commuters have access to a few highways nearby plus the light rail train service. Residents here can easily cross the river into Pennsylvania. This is an older community with limited perks but nicely maintained with upgraded interiors. This is a great spot for renters traveling to McGuire Air Force Base or even the Princeton area.

COST

On the low side– rent at Academy Woods is lower than you can expect to pay in other communities nearby. You also get a decent amount of space for your money. There is a small application fee as with most communities.  

LOCATION

Small town setting – surrounding this property you will find mostly residential homes along with some commercial packaging operations. The area includes a large recreation complex, schools and the river.

These apartments in Florence, NJ are right off US 130 which will make it easy to get to Burlington or Bordentown. Residents can also quickly access I-276 (PA Turnpike) to cross the river or maybe catch a train in Bristol. The Lower Bucks Hospital is a short drive away.

One thing that will not be too close to your Academy Woods Apartment is shopping. Your best bet will be to get to Mt. Holly Road about 9 miles south in Burlington where you can get to Shop Rite, Wal-Mart and the Burlington Center Mall. Bristol Commerce Park is almost the same distance on the other side of the river.

CONVENIENCES

Laundry facility – renters need to cart their clothes to a laundry center onsite.

Short term leases – this community does provide lease terms to fit most needs which can be great if you only need a place for the short term.

PETS

Cats only – you won’t hear much barking here as the community only permits cats. Expect to pay monthly rent to keep your purring friend.

LEISURE          

Limited activities– there is a playground on the premises with swings, a slide and climbing structure.

A large recreation park up the street maintains several ball fields. You can visit the Roebling Museum to check out some old sports cars. If you want to view the latest movies there is a 20-screen Regal Cinema near the mall.

Limited feedback – we were only able to find a handful of reviews on Academy Woods Apartments – not enough to conclude how renters really value this community. A few comments include: updated kitchens, safe area, and nice landscaping.
