Rivertrace at Port Imperial in West New York, NJ is an attractive newer community loaded with luxury amenities within a short commute of many spots in Manhattan. You’ll find fantastic views, a short walk to public transportation, and a full array of on-site recreation activities. You can walk to get groceries and to a few dining spots but there is not much excitement in the neighborhood (which is probably a good thing since you won’t have to go far for that).

What will you find within walking distance?

One of the grips about this neighborhood is that there is not much to do. It is mostly residential housing, the Riverwalk and a few shops. There are excellent sidewalks and pathways to explore which are great if you like to bike ride or run. You can sit down for a nice meal at PF Chang’s or Son Cubano (Cuban Fare). A large park with exciting views and a dog park is found on the opposite side of the street.

How long will it take to get to New York?

One of the benefits of living on this side of the river is that transportation into the city is excellent. From the Rivertrace apartments you can easily walk to the Port Imperial Ferry Terminal less than one mile away in about 15 minutes. The service has three stops allowing you to reach Midtown 39^th Street in about ten minutes. If you get a monthly pass the trip is about $6 per ride. It’s a bit longer and more cash to reach the World Financial Center or Wall Street.

Another option for residents is to walk across the street and up a few steps to the NJ Transit bus stop. This will take you to the Port Authority Terminal in about 22 minutes.

Rivertrace at Port Imperial was built in 2013 and is one of the newest apartment communities in the area. While this neighborhood is rapidly developing, these apartments are modern and stylish.

While many renters on this side of the river will have to hop in a car to reach a food store, residents here can stroll a few blocks to Riverwalk Place to reach an ACME supermarket. You will also be able to walk to an ice cream shop, spa, bank and a few restaurants.
