East Amherst Apartments for Rent

About East Amherst

Renting an East Amherst apartment may be a good idea if you want to live close to the University at Buffalo North Campus or Erie Community College. Residents who travel a lot will find this community only a few miles north of the Buffalo International Airport. You can drive down Transit Road and get there in no time.

There are several community parks in the area and a long pathway that stretches for miles offering residents a great place to get some exercise. As you drive south down Transit Road you will reach a large shopping area that features a Wegmans grocery market, Target, BJs and Pier 1 Imports. Travel just a little further and you will reach a large indoor shopping mall with a Dave and Buster’s amusement arcade and restaurant.

Only place you might want to start your search in this area is along County Roars where you will find a good selection of apartments. There are also a few communities on Transit Road. You may find some private home rentals in this area including several townhome communities where rentals are frequently available.

If you drive several miles west of you can get to the Erie Community College West Campus.

At the Millard Fillmore Museum you can visit the home of the 13th president of the United States where you will see period furniture and can walk through the picturesque gardens that surround the property. For an elegant night out you might have dinner or attend an event such as the Friday Night Jazz music at the Roycroft Inn which is steeped in the history of the American Arts and Crafts Movement. This area has lots of great parks where you spend some time away from your rental home or get out and get some exercise. The Knox Farm State Park offers 600 acres where you can observe wildlife, go for a hike, cross-country ski and ride horseback along beautifully scenic nature trails. Majors Park has a big sledding hill and at the Sinking Pond Wildlife Sanctuary you can hike trails and view the nature.

There is not a very large selection of rentals in East Aurora. There are only a few apartment communities and occasionally you may find a home for rent.

There are a bunch of apartments in East Greenbush along the Columbia Turnpike. There are usually a few private home rentals in the area such as a townhome at Greenbush Terrace.
