More about New York

Though most people think of New York as the largest city in the world, many underestimate the bounty and beauty of the rest of the state, home to countless mountains, forests, lakes and state parks, including Adirondack State Park, larger than any National Park in the country. Albany, Syracuse, Rochester and Buffalo are large cities, each with their own distinct cultures and landscapes defining the northern regions of the state.

Along with the hustle of New York City, SUNY, CUNY, New York University and other New York college students who venture upstate will discover the natural splendor of the Mid-Atlantic region, from the Catskills to the magnificence of Niagara Falls. Renters may want to visit the Niagara Falls were masses of water from Lake Erie drop almost 200 feet, Lake Placid, the two time host of the Winter Olympics or the Adirondacks outdoor recreation area.

If you are planning to work or attend school in the New York City Metropolitan area, you may be considering an apartment in Manhattan, one of the other boroughs such as Brooklyn and Staten Island, or perhaps New Jersey. Renters in any of these areas can take advantage of trips to the NJ Shore, Atlantic City, Long Island beaches and Giants Stadium. There is also great transportation with an extensive bus and train network to make commuting easier.
