This is a great location for commuters with easy access to I-40 you can get to Research Triangle Park in just over 15 minutes and a little more to the airport. With US 15/501 nearby the Notting Hill apartments, you can also zip down to the University of North Carolina in central Chapel Hill in a snap.
You can expect this address to be set back from the highways, but within walking distance to many area businesses, a bus stop and a few places to eat.
Residents can walk to a Chapel Hill Transit bus stop on Old Sterling Road at Notting Hill. It will take just about one minute to get there and you will be able to catch the d and dx lines. With a car you can drive around the corner onto US 15/501 to reach downtown Chapel Hill or access I-40 for travel out of town.
The New Hope Commons shopping center is only six minutes from here and you will find a Wal-Mart Supercenter, Marshalls, and Dick’s Sporting Goods. Across from there you can shop at Kohl’s, Kroger and AC Moore.
You can probably walk to a few fast food places and a Mexican restaurant at the end of Sage Road.
If you take US 15/501 north across I-40 there is a nice selection of dining spots including Applebee’s, Panera Bread and Outback Steakhouse. Head south of here and there is a good selection of local restaurants such as Weathervane serving interesting specialties such as shrimp hushpuppies and sweet tea glazed salmon.
Already equipped with lighted tennis courts, a 24-hour gym, and gorgeous pool, you may just want to spend your free time near home. But when you do want a change of scenery, you can venture over to Cedar Falls Park to jog on the trail or play some baseball. The Notting Hill apartments are not far from AMF Durham Lanes or the Deep Dish Theater Company offering other entertainment options.
