Rentals Online researchers have dissected this neighborhood for you…
With area schools just down the street, Southwood Apartments offer a good location for families. This property has excellent access to major highways including Skibo Road and the All American Expressway making it good for commuters.
The apartment complex is right alongside Raeford Road near Strickland Bridge Road and next to several service oriented businesses (salon, auto).
You can walk to a bus stop at Raeford Road and Little Drive in about 10 minutes. The stop serves the #18 Route that will take you to the mall. Unfortunately, sidewalks may not be available most of the way so this is not the best location for users of public transportation.
This neighborhood includes a Kangaroo Express convenience store, Rite Aid and a few other service shops. Residents here will likely do most of their shopping at the Fayetteville Pavilion where you will find a grocery store for food purchases and Target for many other necessities.
Pizza Hut, McDonald’s and a sub shop are about the only dining spots very close to the Southwood Apartments. When you feel like eating something different, take a short drive down Raeford Road about 4 miles and you will find a nice selection of restaurants that includes Applebee’s, Mi Casita Mexican, and the 316 Oyster Bar.
Right down the street from here there is an indoor skating center and mini golf course. Renters with families may also enjoy a nearby family fun center on Columbia Road with laser tag and an arcade. One of the city’s largest attractions, the Crown Center is a short drive from this site.
