Here is a nice selection if you want to live near the University of North Carolina Greensboro a short drive up Spring Garden Street. Residents of The Retreat Apartments will find it a snap to get downtown in about ten minutes. There is excellent shopping in the area and major attractions are within a few miles.

Location

This is a good sized community in a quiet residential neighborhood. There is a large car dealership at the end of the street and a conference center in the other direction.

Transportation

The Retreat residents can enjoy Ride GTA bus service right at the front entrance on Hewitt Street where you can access the #1 route to the Depot.   If you are planning on driving yourself around, you can use Wendover Avenue to reach UNCG or the downtown area.

Shopping

One of the things we think you are really going to like about this location is the ability to shop for just about anything you want. Take a drive south on Wendover Avenue and you will find three separate shopping centers that include some of the top national retailers such as Costco, Sam’s Club, Wal-Mart and Target. In addition, there are dozens of smaller specialty shops and services for you to discover.

Dining

While there aren’t any dining spots in the immediate neighborhood, the vicinity offers versatile dining options that include a full range of international cuisine along Market Street and a great selection of popular restaurants near I-40.   A few places you may frequent include Fuddruckers, Applebee’s, TGI Friday’s or Chipotle Mexican Grill.

Recreation

With a basketball court, pool and gym onsite The Retreat Apartments will have a nice selection of amenities to keep you busy.   Residents can watch movies at the Carmike 18 cinema on Koger Boulevard. There are bowling lanes around the corner. If you have little kids there is an indoor inflatable center nearby where they can jump around and have fun.
