Centrally located, the Wilson Acres Apartments are only a few blocks from ECU, a few blocks from central Greenville and a few blocks from the river.
This is a large apartment complex in a residential neighborhood near downtown Greenville.
Residents can use the #5 route of Greenville Area Transit from the stop on 1st Street just around the corner from these apartments. Drivers can use 1s St to reach North Greene Street for trips across the river. There is also a university shuttle bus from this area.
Look for a Harris Teeter grocery store on East 14t Street near South Elm. If you continue south you can reach the mall and several other large shopping centers along Greenville Boulevard.
When you don’t feel in the mood for getting your pots and pans dirty, there are plenty of restaurants downtown that will serve up something tasty. One popular spot near here is Christy’s Euro Pub where you can enjoy a tuna steak, Sheppard’s Pie, burgers and salads.
This is a great spot for anyone with a mountain bike who wants to take advantage of the Tar River Greenway trail for long rides along the water. You might want to take in a live performance at the university’s Hendrix Theatre or enjoy a comedy show at the Tipsy Teapot. Residents can play basketball and volleyball onsite.
The main campus consumes 530 acres in a residential area within the heart of Greenville. There are other campuses to the northwest. The full-time faculty at ECU numbers nearly 1,700.
