Located nearly midway between the cities Jacksonville and Wilmington, Hampstead Place presents a dynamic location with lots of potential. Residents here can reach the Marine Corp Air Station at New River in about 30 minutes, or make their way south to the airport for out of town travel. One advantage of this location is that it is close to the entrance to Surf City Beach.

Transportation

There is no public transit here, but you can drive around the corner to access US 17 for trips north and south. You can find a gas station close to the high school.

Shopping & Dining

To the south of here you can find a Food Lion grocery and in the north, Harris Teeter will help you collect the food supplies you need to make your favorite meals. To do any serious shopping, you will want to head down US 17 to Market Street where it meets I-40. This area includes lots of big retailers such as Costco, Kohl’s and Wal-Mart.  Finding something to eat is a different story. There are a couple of pizza shops and a popular café near the high school. Other local favorites such as the Saw Mill Grill and Jebby’s on 17

Recreation

Grab some sun screen and head to the beach. That is why you chose this are in the first place, right? Nearby you can rent a boat or charter a cruise to explore the waterways. There is also a Regal Cinemas movie theater heading south towards Wilmington.
