The Pine Winds Apartments offer a great spot for renters who want to live outside of the city but keep their commute to a minimum. With a short drive up Fayetteville Road, you can be in downtown Raleigh within ten minutes. This area is close to decent shopping where you can find everything needed for your apartment. There are several large recreation sites nearby that can fill your free time with fun and exploration.

Location

You will find Pine Wind right off US Highway 401 (Fayetteville Road) just past the merge with US 70. This neighborhood includes a gas station, bank and several restaurants.

Transportation

If you hike across the highway along Purser Drive you can find a CAT bus stop near the Wal-Mart enabling residents to get a ride around the vicinity. While this may be a short distance, the terrain does not have sidewalks the entire way which could cause some challenges.

Shopping & Dining

Most renters at Pine Winds Apartments will appreciate the Wal-Mart Supercenter across the street where it will be a cinch to gather groceries and décor for your new place. A few of the other shops in this neighborhood you may like include Game Stop, Bath & Body Works and Belk. You can find lot of places to eat near here from a Chinese buffet to pizza to Tripps Restaurant.

Recreation

While living here you might enjoy games of mini golf at a local fun center or get out on the links for real at the Garner Country Club. Head over to Lake Wheeler Park for fun afternoons of sand volleyball, paddle boat rides or running around the playground.
