When searching for a place that is close to the New Hanover Medical Center, The Pines of Wilmington should certainly be considered. You can reach the hospital in a couple of minutes but not have to feel like you are always there. Many other businesses along with the Port Authority are located nearby along the river. The exciting Wilmington Riverwalk area is only 3-4 minutes from these apartments.  Hoggard High School is also a short drive up the street.

The Pines of Wilmington are set along the south side of Shipyard Boulevard near South 17^th Street. The neighborhood includes a few health service providers, a dollar type store and sandwich shop.

Look for a Food Lion grocery store at the corner which should be a nice convenience when you want to pick up a few items for a last minute meal. There is a Subway restaurant, Chinese food a couple of pizza shops in the area. Residents can fill prescriptions at a CVS pharmacy and there is a laundry and nail salon around the corner.

Recreation

While living here you may enjoy afternoons at a nearby indoor skating center. There is a flea market up the street that can be a fun place to search of unusual items. You may catch a live performance at the Opera House Theater or attend a sporting event at Legion Stadium – both minutes from this address.
