With a BT Transit bus stop on Old Glade Road behind the University Mall Shopping Center you can give your legs a break once in a while. This neighborhood features a Starbucks coffee shop when you need a quick jolt, along with a Kroger market so you can pick up some food supplies including soup and pasta. Renters who want to do some volunteer work can visit the Hahn Horticulture Garden who always seeks some helpers and it is a great way to meet new friends. The University Place Condos are not far from the Virginia Tech Fraternities and Sororities found along Oak Lane. A short ride west of here you can uncover Blacksburg’s Heritage Park and Natural Area, a 169 acre recreation site where visitors can appreciate the scenic views, go for a hike or explore the site on your mountain bike.
