Set near the intersection of US 221 and Electric Avenue, residents can quickly find themselves in downtown Roanoke or central Salem. It will only take 9-10 minute to reach the GE facility and less than that if you plan to commute to the VA or Lewis Gale Medical Centers. Electric Road makes the trip to any of these sites an easy one. You can take some classes at the community college by driving up Colonial Avenue for just a few minutes. In this neighborhood you will find a Kroger grocery store in the small retail center on the opposite side of Electric Road. There are several other stores and restaurants in this area with an indoor mall a short ride to the east. While living here you may enjoy some afternoons at beautiful Garst Mill Park, or tasting some wine at the Valhalla Vineyards. Another idea for entertainment is to attend regular performances at the Showtimers Community Theater.
