Centrally located within a Vinton residential neighborhood, the Longwood Apartments are a great place to call home for renters seeking a quiet suburban community. It won’t take long however to reach the center of Roanoke from here with a Valley Metro bus stop right near your front door. If you plan to drive yourself, the trip will take just ten minutes with a 2.4 mile drive down Wise Avenue. When you are looking for something to eat for dinner, make your way about a mile east to the middle of Vinton to find a bunch of local restaurants such as the well-received Red Jasmine, serving Thai cuisine such as Bangkok Duck and Lemon Grass Chicken. A good place to get some exercise near here is Fallon Park. You can access the Tinker Creek Greenway for long distance runs along the water, or perhaps grab a new three pack of tennis balls for a competitive match with a friend. While living at Longwood you might enjoy swimming at the public pool when it is open from June through August. Many residents also attend the annual Fall Festival.
