This is a great spot for faculty and staff of Northcentral Technical College located just a few minutes north on Badger Ave. You will also find the hospital on this side of the river making this a good spot of medical care workers. Families will live close to schools just a few blocks away.

If you continue a little further and cross the river you can reach the city’s primary retail district that is highlighted by the Wausau Center Mall. There is a local café, Chinese food and a barbeque place nearby but more selection can be had near the mall. Still there are some popular restaurants along Stewart Ave.

Recreation

While renting here, you may enjoy regular walks along a trail over to Schofield Park where you can experience views of the river. Be sure to stop in at the Marathon County Fair when it comes to town each year. Near the fairgrounds you can find a bowling center.
