 Much of Nebraska is covered by a treeless prairie and open spaces making the state ideal for cattle-grazing and growing soybeans. Agricultures and beef production helps lead the economy here. Bucking this status is the city of Omaha with a population of over 400,000 and Lincoln with more than 250,000 residents.
Many residents of the state are part of the University of Nebraska known as the Cornhuskers which has had huge success in College football. The main campus is in Lincoln, with other campuses in Omaha and Kearney.
Renters may consider moving to Nebraska to work for some of the larger employers such as Warren Buffett’s Berkshire Hathaway, ConAgra foods packaging company, Mutual of Omaha insurance company and TD Ameritrade. In the city of Lincoln, the Kawasaki Motors Manufacturing plant produces many popular products such as the Jet-Ski, ATV, and Mule at a facility with more than 1200 employees.
If you renting an apartment in Nebraska, you may find yourself with some time on your hands to explore some of the many attractions this state has to offer such as the Strategic Air and Space Museum. Another popular place to check out is Boot Hill in Ogallala. Many residents will turn out to route for their favorite teams at the annual College World Series held every June in the city of Omaha.
