Great access to Manhattan and Newark Airport

Gaze out onto the Upper Bay from your Bayonne apartment or watch the boats at the Cape Liberty Cruise Port from the Harbor Pointe apartments. While you are sure to enjoy some of the views, the real beauty of this spot is quick passage to NYC and the airport for out of town travel.

The train station has service to Hoboken from here where you can connect with a PATH to New York. Harbor Pointe is just a few minutes from Route 440 which can take you to Staten Island or I-78.

What’s in walking distance?

At the moment, Harbor Pointe is an isolated community so it’s not the most walkable location. Still you can trek less than one mile over to Port Terminal Boulevard which does have a paved path. This will lead you to a bunch of shops on the other side of the waterway including Dunkin’ Donuts, a 12-screen Frank Theatres, Houlihan’s restaurant and a Stop n’ Shop grocery.

1. miles to 34^th Street Light Rail Station – a very nice perk offered by Harbor Pointe Apartments is they provide a shuttle to the train station. It might be possible to walk to the train but most residents will use the shuttle or take a car. There is a big lot for parking. This train will take you to Hoboken where you can switch to a Path to get into the city.

Points of Interest near the Harbor Pointe in Bayonne

South Core Commons and Bayonne Crossing Shopping Centers – for the most part, everything you need is right on the other side of the waterway. Harbor Pointe residents can get grocery shopping done, dine out, pick up school supplies at Wal-Mart, and go to the movies all within two miles. If you want more, there is a giant mall on the other side of Newark Bay.

Bayonne Golf Club – the golf crowd won’t have to go far to tee off.

Hudson River Waterfront Walkway – this paved trail is a great spot for an afternoon run. It stretches for several miles along the water for some scenic views.

Liberty State Park & Science Center – you’ll want to make regular trips for the changing exhibits and to learn some history.

Hoboken – have some fun exploring the many bars, restaurants and shops that make this city such as popular gather place. Stop in at Carlo’s Bakery (The Cake Boss) for a tasty treat.
