Green Grove Apartments in Keyport, NJ is worth a look if you are a commuter but want to live close to the Jersey shore. These apartments are minutes from the parkway and two separate train stations with service to New York. Plus an NJ Transit bus stop is up the street. The property is close to shopping and a variety of recreation options. You may have to put up with a long walk from your car once in a while with limited parking. These apartments were built in 1965 so expect some calls for repairs.

On the low side– don’t expect the Green Grove Apartments to be cheap but they are lower priced compared to some other options in the immediate area. You can find a lower priced home in some nearby towns.

LOCATION

Great for commuters and beach goers – probably the top reason to consider Green Grove is the dynamic location. This is a great spot for commuters but not too close to any noisy highways. You will find plenty of recreation options within a few minutes and Route 35 is loaded with quality shopping. The property is bordered by a creek, residential homes and a cemetery across the street.

The Bayshore Community Hospital is less than 3 miles from this property.

CONVENIENCES

Laundry facility – using the common laundry room will not be your favorite feature of this community. There is a laundry and cleaners down the street.  

PETS

Pets welcome – it sounds like lots of folks have dogs here. You will want to inquire about their policy.

There is a pet groomer down the street and PetSmart in Holmdel.

LEISURE          

Limited activities– there are no recreation facilities onsite.    

You will find plenty of places for entertainment within minutes of Green Grove Apartments. Residents can spend an afternoon knocking down pins at Brunswick Zone around the corner, or hopping on a mountain bike and pedaling along the Henry Hudson Trail.

The property is close to Hazlet Multiplex Cinemas and an indoor trampoline park. Families might enjoy frequent visits to Keansburg Amusement Park or a nearby waterpark. You can splash around at the bay beach in Middletown or take a drive to Sea Bright for some ocean waves.

Mixed– we read 21 reviews of Green Grove Apartments so you won’t have to.   While many of the reviews we saw tilted negative, there was an overwhelming concern about the limited parking. Each apartment is assigned one spot so it apparently can be difficult for visitors to find one close to your home.

There were also several critiques about the temperature control during the winter and the condition of the laundry room. Other reviews noted the location was terrific and it was close to shops.
