Located near the intersection of three major highways, Gardens at Raritan in New Brunswick, NJ are convenient to much of central New Jersey. Granted Route 18 can get backed up in a hurry, you can use it to get to lots of businesses in nearby Piscataway and East Brunswick. During the summer, NJ 18 allows an easy ride to the beach. Motorists can also get on the NJ Turnpike and US 1.

The Gardens at Raritan Apartments are mostly isolated with a huge section of woods and the Raritan River on one side. A small retail center and movie theater is on another side. This site is convenient to Rutgers Cook and Douglas Colleges.

What’s in walking distance?

There are very good sidewalks in this area particularly along Burnet Street which include walking bridges over the highway. There are not many shops and dining in the area but it is possible to hike about one mile to Sears, On the Border Mexican and Houlihan’s Restaurant. Gardens at Raritan are also just within a long walk of Cook and Douglas Colleges. There is an 18-screen movie theater next door but it may be challenging to walk there with limited sidewalks.
