This community is situated on a quiet residential street just off a main thoroughfare (West Chatham Street) that will lead you to downtown Cary or past the mall to I-40.
The closest bus stop is a six minute walk from here at High House Road and West Chatham. Residents can also head up to the Cary Train Station to catch a Triangle Transit bus for out of town commuting.
Shopping will be easy while living at Chatham Forest with the Maynard Crossing retail center 1.7 miles away, you can pick up groceries at the Kroger store, get a haircut or deposit a check. When you need to do some power shopping such as for clothes, bedding or gifts, take a trip to the Cary Towne Center mall which has more than 130 shops that are bound to occupy much of your day.
A Mexican restaurant can be found around the corner from there along with a few other local places nearby. When you want to go out for dinner, the downtown area has a nice selection of eateries included the highly rated Bosphorus Restaurant serving authentic Turkish and Mediterranean cuisine.
You will find a basketball court, pool and playground onsite, but when you want to venture away from the complex you will also find plenty of things to do. Grab a friend and make your way over to Buffaloe Lanes Cary for a few frames of bowling. Fred Bond Metro Park (2.1 miles) hosts a ropes challenge course, the Sertoma Amphitheatre and 4.2 miles of off-road trails. You may also want to attend the annual Spring Daze Festival at this site.
