A touch of tranquility is what you can expect with Colonial Village at Timber Crest. Nestled along the northern boundary of McAlpine Creek Park and mostly set back from major roadways, you can avoid the hustle and bustle of urban living evident in many other apartment communities. Families might be able to take advantage of the Greenway Park Elementary School situated next door. The park itself offers a great place to gather with friends for athletic activities, or a daily trot around the trails for some exercise. There is a bus stop near the front entrance, convenient for those without a car. If you do have your own set of wheels, it will take about 16 minutes to drive to Uptown Charlotte from this neighborhood. A short ride south of here there is a large shopping area with a Wal-Mart Supercenter, Food Lion and many of the services you may need while living here.

Expect to find Colonial Village at Timber Crest on the southeast side of Charlotte between Independence Expressway and Monroe Road. The community is surrounded by lots of trees, a lake, large park and a school. Village Lake Drive provides direct access to US 74.
