The River Wind Apartments is an exciting suburban location where you can enjoy lots of outdoor activities such as golf, mountain bike riding on the Avon/Catawba Creeks Greenway or a competitive game of tennis in the park. These apartments are well away from the hustle and bustle closer to the interstate.

Location

This is a residential setting with several shops near the intersection down the street. The neighborhood includes an indoor skating rink, karate center, auto spa and several eateries.

Transportation

Living here you can use Union Road to reach the downtown area of Gastonia, or take Robinwood Road to New Hope Road to reach the shopping areas and the interstate.

Shopping

There are a few local shops that you may visit on occasion such as the Aldi and BiLo markets, CVS, and a Family Dollar Store. Most of your shopping will likely be done along East Franklin Boulevard where you can find the mall, and other big name retailers such as Target and Sam’s Club.

Dining

When you just need a quick bite to eat, there are several fast food restaurants down the street along with a Mexican restaurant. You will find several other local dining spots along Union Road as you head towards the downtown area. If you want to eat at any of the big chain restaurants, make your way up towards the mall where the selection will be big.

Recreation

This is a great location if you like to golf. The Gastonia Municipal Golf Course is located right around the corner from the River Wind Apartments enabling you to get to the first tee in a hurry. Ferguson Park has lots of tennis courts and some ball fields where you can gather with friends. Kate’s Skate Rink provides a great spot to have some fun close to home.
