When you make Walkers Ridge your new home, you can drive up South New Hope Road to the shopping areas or access I-85 for trips to Charlotte.

You will find a few shops along New Hope Road including several banks, a laundry, organic marketplace, and dentist office. The nearest grocery store is Lowes Foods on Hoffman Road about 1.5 miles away. But most of your shopping will likely be done along East Franklin Boulevard featuring Target, Wal-Mart and Sam’s Club.

Dining

No need to worry if you don’t see any restaurants right in front of Walkers Ridge. In fact there are a few eateries nearby such as Domino’s Pizza, Koto Japanese and an Italian restaurant. When you drive up New Hope Road toward the mall there are lots of dining spots that are very popular such as O’Charley’s and Red Lobster.

Recreation

One suggestion we have for residents who live at Walkers Ridge is to get your hands on a mountain bike so you can take advantage of the Avon Catawba Creeks Greenway trail right down the street. While living here, don’t miss an opportunity to visit the Stowe Botanical Gardens, a 400 acre park-like area with rolling-meadows, and formal display gardens.
