There is a Food Lion grocery store at the end of the street just west of here where you will be able to gather all your grocery needs. You can find some unique shops, antiques and boutiques in the downtown area of Monroe. Some residents will choose to make the short trip up to Monroe Crossing shopping center where there is a few dozen stores including JC Penney and Belk. There is a pizza shop/Italian restaurant within walking distance. A few other restaurants can be found near the hospital.

Recreation

Situated on the south side of the city, Willow Glen is fairly close to the Monroe City Golf Course where you may work out some kinks in your game before moving on to the Rolling Hills Country Club. The Treehouse Vineyards host frequent events, or you could just stop in for a tasting – although you may need a reservation for the weekend. Nearby Sunset Park has lots of fields and courts for outdoor activities.
