Woodland Creek offers a great location for anyone who wants to live away from the city where you can enjoy some peace and quiet along with some excellent outdoor recreation opportunities. This property is an easy ride to the Veteran’s Hospital located only about two miles down Statesville Road. Renters at Woodland Creek Apartments will be similarly satisfied with their commute to Food Lion’s corporate headquarters on Executive Drive. With excellent highway access, you can sail down to the community college in less than ten minutes or make it all the way to the city of Concord in about one half hour.

Location

You can find Woodland Creek on the northwest side of Salisbury off of Statesville Boulevard, a mile or so past Salisbury Boulevard. In this neighborhood there is a gas station, barbeque restaurant, ice cream shop and a fire station.

Transportation

Woodland Creek is great for motorists with easy access to US Highway 70, and a gas station around the corner. Our thought is that the nearest bus stop is a bit too far to walk at over one mile away on Lash Drive, so this spot is best suited for those with a car.

Shopping & Dining

While it has seen better days, the Salisbury Mall still has many specialty shops where you can pick up shoes, books, jewelry and clothing. This neighborhood also includes a Food Lion grocery store where it will be easy to refill your refrigerator. It won’t take long to get downtown to dine out, but there are plenty choices closer to home that includes pizza, sub sandwiches, Dairy Queen and K&W Cafeterias.

Recreation

Active residents can certainly enjoy spending time at nearby Salisbury Community Park which maintains many soccer and baseball fields, lots of playground equipment, a walking trail and well-stocked lake for fishing.   Woodland Creek’s families may enjoy memberships at the nearby YMCA to enjoy a variety of athletic programs and camps. The Rowan County Wildlife Association also offers a variety activities, clinics and events such as archery and shooting.
