South Park Township Pennsylvania is located in the southern part of Allegheny County 11 miles south of Pittsburgh. The area is considered quite hilly and much of the towns land is consumed by a large county park that shares the name South Park. It is a 2,000 acre recreational area that contains a huge array of courts and fields. Living here you will have access to the Great Allegheny Passage, a 150 mile biking and hiking trail which spans from Maryland to PA. For a fun evening with friends and family head over to the South Park Theatre which offers affordable main stage and children’s theatre productions throughout the year.

There are several annual events that that are sure to get you out of your South Park apartment. The South Park Rib Festival is at the South Park Fairgrounds over the Labor Day Weekend where you can taste famous BBQ from all of the country. The event includes a 5k race to benefit a local charity, prizes and giveaway and live bands. The South Park Summer Rev Up and Roll is a display of antique cars and motorcycles at Allegheny County fairgrounds. It also includes a car cruise and crafts festival.
