Tamarus Park is a great spot for students and faculty of UNLV whose campus is just one block to the west making it a snap to reach classes timely. This site is also ideal for healthcare professionals working at one of the two hospitals or private practices in the vicinity. A large mall and other retail centers provide excellent shopping and quality entertainment is never more than a few minutes away.

Location

As you head down East Flamingo Road, you will find Tamarus Park II just past the university. Within walking distance you will find many shops and restaurants along with the Clark County Library.

Close to Maryland Crossing Shopping Center

14-minute walk to UNLV

8-minute drive to “The Strip” (Bellagio, Caesars)

13-minute drive to central Las Vegas, Nevada

13-minute walk to Desert Springs Hospital

Transportation

To catch a bus, you will have to walk up to E. Flamingo Road to the nearest RTC stop which should take about 4 minutes.

Shopping & Dining

You will find some fantastic shopping options right up the street with big name stores such as Target and Albertsons (grocery) leading the way. Families can shop at Toys R Us, Game Stop or the Skechers Outlet Store. Dining out may include regular trips to Olive Garden or the highly rated Yama Sushi. Just a couple of blocks north of here is where you will find The Boulevard Mall.

Recreation

Some renters living here may enjoy walking a few blocks to the Judy Beyley Theatre to take in live stage performances. UNLV also has fantastic gardens to view and a museum. An interesting afternoon may include a visit to the National Atomic Testing Museum. The Thomas & Mack Center also hosts many events from rodeos to ice skating exhibitions.
