The Finchley Gardens apartments in South Bound Brook, NJ offer a convenient location at a low cost. This is a great spot for anyone working in the Somerset corporate park along Davidson Avenue or commuters using I-287. We like that you can walk to a bunch of shops and eateries in town, plus major entertainment is only a few miles away.

COST
On the low side– You will find the Finchley Gardens is on the lower end of the rent scale for this area, particularly with several new luxury communities that have been constructed. Some renters have indicated that utilities may be high, but all in this should still be inexpensive for the area. There are fees and rent for pets.
LOCATION
Convenient walkable spot– these apartments are within a short walk of South Bound Brook’s downtown shopping area where you can find plenty of eateries and local businesses. The beauty of this area is you can drive around the corner to many large employers along Davidson Avenue in Somerset. Or you can hop on I-287 to find many companies in Piscataway and beyond.
It might take 20 minutes or more, but residents could walk to a NJ Transit train on the other side of the river in Bound Brook. Another benefit of living at Finchley Gardens is that New Brunswick is only a few miles up Easton Avenue.
Tip: apartments on the back side of this community border the D&R Canal offering a more tranquil and quiet setting.
AMENITIES
Common laundry rooms– the community only offers laundry facilities so you may get a little extra exercise on wash days.
PETS
Pet friendly– dogs and cats are welcome here but inquire about restrictions. There are some application fees and pet rent that will apply. A huge Pet Smart in Bridgewater is only a few miles away.
LEISURE
A few things to do– the community provides a small modern playground with a slide and climbing features. It won’t take long to trek over to the D&R trail for a run, bike ride or fishing. In the vicinity you can get to an ice skating rink, an indoor soccer field and the NJ State Convention Center.
There is no pool or fitness center on site.
REVIEWS
Mixed– There are not a lot of existing reviews for Finchley Gardens but we try to sum it up here for you. After reading 8 existing reviews available we’ve found that this apartment community gets mixed results from residents. The limited sample is not an accurate measure of the community’s quality particularly since much of the feedback is very dated. A few folks mentioned utilities were higher than they hoped. One person mentioned an issue with the parking lot. Another renter expressed disappointment with flooding, however that is believed to have since been mitigated.
The management and maintenance teams also get some mixed feedback with comments such as: fast maintenance response, excellent staff, helpful manager, and poorly maintained.
