A few shops in this neighborhood include auto repair, hair salon, animal hospital and a convenience store. A Food Lion grocery store is only about four minutes away. The Wal-Mart Supercenter that is south of here is the main retail center for this area.

Inside the Kangaroo Express convenience store you will find a Subway restaurant where you can pick up a sandwich or soup for a quick meal. There are a few other fast food places nearby and if you head down toward the university there is an Italian Bistro and an American pub that are popular.
