This spot is for renters who want to live a bit more out in the country where you can easily access many recreation sites, trails and places to explore. Battleground Ave offers residents of Hunts View some excellent shopping options and a direct path into the city.

Location

This neighborhood includes a food store, a few restaurants, self-storage facility and an auto supply store. There is a gas station close by.

Transportation

You will be able to walk to a bus stop located on Battleground Avenue just past Cotswold Avenue, but it will take you about twelve minutes to get there. The road does have sidewalks in case you plan to use the Ridge GTA #8 route.

Shopping

Picking up groceries will be a snap with the Food Lion supermarket located right down the street. You can even walk to the store. Renters may prefer to shop at the Wal-Mart Supercenter where you will find not just food but kitchen, bath and laundry goods as well. A few of the other shops in reach are a shoe warehouse, Home Depot and Kohl’s.

Dining

There are two Mexican restaurants within a stone’s throw of here and just up the street, a diner and Elizabeth’s Pizza. You can also find Chinese food, Pizza Hut, Subway and a burger place in the vicinity.

Recreation

There are a lot of activities nearby for outdoor enthusiast such as a part of the Greenway trail that you can bike ride or run for many miles. Take a drive up to Bur Mil Park to discover a wildlife education facility, and family aquatic center. There is also a 10-screen Cinemark Theater on New Garden Road.
