Rentals Online researchers have uncovered this neighborhood for you…
This is a fantastic location for those who want to take advantage of many of Greensboro’s attractions with national and historic parks steps from your door, outstanding shopping and a Greenway trail for exercise. Battleground Avenue not only heads downtown, but it will lead you past many of the city’s top destinations such as the Cone Hospital and UNCG.
Location
This park-like setting includes lots of trees, grass, a pond and children’s playground. You can walk to shops, bank and dining.
Transportation
There are no sidewalks along New Garden Road, but you should be able to walk the short distance to a bus stop on Battleground Avenue where you can ride the #8 route. There is even a bench at the stop so you can sit while you are waiting. Renters with their own car can use Battleground Avenue to easily reach downtown Greensboro.
Shopping
You might find that one of the highlights of this location is that you won’t have to go far to find lots of great shops such as Wal-Mart, Kohl’s, Home Depot and Big Lots. Unlike many other rental communities, you will be able to find shoes, toys, sports equipment, and clothes right down the street. There are also Harris Teeter and Food Lion supermarkets not far from Lincoln Green.
Dining
You can actually walk to a bunch of restaurants from this spot including Monterrey Mexican, a popular sub shop, and Domino’s Pizza. A little further away there is a much bigger selection including custom burgers, seafood and sushi.
Recreation
Residents will certainly want to take the time to visit some of the historic sites located just steps from this property such as the Tannenbaum Museum on the opposite side of the street where you can see an incredible collection of American Revolution Bicentennial artifacts. There is also a ten-screen Cinemark movie cinema right on the other side of US 220.
