Apple Hill offers a nice location where you can live in the suburbs of Hickory but reach the city in less than fifteen minutes. You might live here while taking classes at the community college or working at the Catawba Hospital. There are also many large furniture manufactures and other employers in downtown Hickory just a few miles away. These apartments are close to the motor speedway and excellent shopping sites.

Find this community off Northwest Boulevard (Business Route 321). The neighborhood includes several businesses, a high school, gas station and a few eateries.

Transportation

A bus Greenway Transit bus stop can be found off Main Street near City Hall about 1.5 miles from Apple Hill. This is probably a bit too far to walk so you should plan to have a car while living here.

Shopping & Dining

There are a couple of food stores in town including a Food Lion supermarket where you can get all your groceries. As you drive up US 70 there is a Wal-Mart Supercenter and Sam’s Club where you can pick up all kinds of supplies, appliances and electronics. If you can’t find what you need at either of those stores, make your way over to the Valley Hills Mall with nearly one hundred shops to discover. Close to Apple Hill you can grab something to eat at Chinese food, Subway or pizza restaurants.

Recreation

While living here you might take in a race at the Hickory Motor Speedway or catch the latest movies at the Carmike 14 cinema by the mall. On South Main Street there is a theater where you can watch live stage shows.
