There are a few eateries nearby including Krispy Kreme Doughnuts, hot dogs, wings and a few chicken places. As you head closer to downtown, the selection of restaurants is much more extensive. A few local shops and groceries can be found in the area, but you will likely do most of your shopping south of 1^st Street.  Residents here can also pick up groceries at the Food Lion in the Northside Shopping Center.

Recreation

With two large parks nearby you can enjoy daily runs or walks through an extensive trail network, play some tennis or take your children to the playground. Just north of here, the Dixie Classic Fair present a tradition of fun, food and competition that make you want to come back year after year. The Winston Cup Museum is located a couple of minutes south of here on 8^th Street.
