More about Virginia

If you like history, Virginia is a great place to rent and live. There are many sites, museums and attractions that will keep you engaged such as the Arlington National Cemetery, Monticello, Thomas Jefferson's home and an architectural masterpiece, the Richmond National Battlefield Park, and of course Mount Vernon Estate & Gardens, home of George and Martha Washington.

The miles of sandy white beaches make Virginia a popular destination for vacationers who often enjoy staying in a hotel or renting a beach house. Virginia Beach is a hot spot for renters from many states and is the largest city in the state.

With an educated work force and low unemployment rate, the state provides optimal conditions for large companies to operate and renters to find work. The state’s economy is going through a change from being dominated by tobacco growing to technology with production of computer chips leading the way. In Northern Virginia’s Dulles Technology Corridor you will find software, communication technology, and consulting companies. A lot of Virginians also work for federal agencies in Northern Virginia.

There are many attractions throughout the state for kids including the Virginia Beach Amusement Park, Busch Gardens Williamsburg, Virginia Aquarium & Marine Science Center, Kings Dominion in Doswell, the Luray Zoo and the Children's Museum of Richmond. Many college students attend school and become permanent residents afterwards. Some of the largest colleges in the state are George Mason University in Fairfax, Virginia Commonwealth University, University of Virginia and Old Dominion University.
