The Rock Ridge Condominiums offer a location that is outside of downtown Cedar Rapids that will give you a good start on a commute towards some of the companies on the south side of the city such as Archer Daniels. This community is surrounded by major sports venues from horse racing to football, you can see it all. There is even a large mall nearby and while not fully occupied there are loads of stores and restaurants nearby to find anything you need.

You can always pop down Wilson Ave and get to the mall where you will find lots of eateries in the surrounding area and some other popular shops such as Menard’s and Toys R Us. If you want to avoid the mall area, take a ride down 16^th Ave where there is a sports bar, Mexican food and God Father’s Pizza. There is an Aldi market not far from here too that could be useful for picking up some basic groceries.

Recreation

If you are nuts about hockey, the Cedar Rapids Ice Arena has programs for adults and kids, or you can stop in to watch a USHL Rough Riders game. Residents can also catch Minor League baseball games at nearby Veterans Memorial Stadium. When you want to just kick back and watch a good movie, the Rock Ridge Condos will be just minutes from a 12-screen Carmike Cinema.
