We think you will like the idea of renting at Hawthorne at the Parkway in Cary if you work at the Western Wake Medical Center. Your three minute commute will give you plenty of time to enjoy the many other things to do in this area such as shopping or exploring the many recreation areas. With easy access to US64/1, this also becomes a great spot for commuters to NCSU and employers north of the city.

Transportation

The nearest public bus stop we could find is at the intersection of Kildaire Farm Road and SE Cary Parkway, about an 11 minute walk from this property. While taking a bus from here is an option, having a car would be optimal as you can quickly drive down the street to access US Highway 64/1 which you would use to travel towards Raleigh or employers in the north part of Cary.

Shopping

If you like to shop, you will be thrilled at the selection of shops within a short drive of Hawthorne at the Parkway. Right up the street there is a small retail plaza that includes a Trader Joe’s store where you can pick up some specialty food items and within about two miles there are Food Lion and Whole Foods stores. The Crossroads Plaza hosts many large national retailers such as Target, Dick’s Sporting Goods and Marshalls. Of course the Cary Towne Center mall is only 6 minutes away and is home to 130 shops.

Dining

There is a great selection of eateries nearby this site with pizza, Chinese food, and sandwiches all ready for a quick meal. As you drive up Kildaire Farm Road you will find a large variety of sit down restaurants as well.

Recreation

A few of the local recreation options near here include the Regal Cinemas Crossroads Stadium 20 IMAX Movie Theater where you can be sure to see all the latest Hollywood flicks. There are AMF bowling lanes. You might also take some time to visit the Hemlock Bluffs Nature Preserve where you will find 3 acres of mulched trails, scenic overlooks and educational exhibits.

Sports & Fitness

Exercise buffs can take advantage of using the Hinshaw Greenway trail with access from MacDonald Woods Park. You can also stay and shoot some hoops at the park.
