Residents here are still close enough to walk or ride a bike to campus but you won’t need to with a BT Transit bus stop right in front of the community’s entrance. Save some money by making some meals yourself. Break out a cookbook, pick something nice, then head over to the Food Lion grocery store found just around the corner to pick up all the ingredients you need. If you would rather let someone else do the cooking, there is a Chinese restaurant nearby and two pizza shops (one open past 1 AM most nights of the week!). With a 7-Eleven convenience store located less than one mile away, you can pick up some coffee, a hot dog or cold drink whenever you need a pick me up. There is a large park along Patrick Henry Street in Blacksburg where you can meet friends of tennis or a game of baseball for a great way to spend a nice afternoon outdoors. You can get to the Regal New River Valley Stadium 14 in just 16 minutes when you need something to do on a rainy day.
