What you should know before visiting Summit Apartments

Rentals Online investigated the Summit Apartments in Mount Laurel, NJ and got the inside scoop.

Welcome to suburbia. Here you will find lots of trees, grass and many other residential developments. Everyone seems to drive a car but things are orderly. The apartments are a bit more modern than many that are closer to the city. Some are even undergoing renovations to include upgraded appliances.

Although Summit Apartments Mount Laurel is part of the Philadelphia metro area, everyone here is not in a rush to get to Center City. This site is close to several major employers such as PHH and Lockheed Martin. Make your way to Virtua Memorial Hospital and slip on your colored scrubs. You can even get to McGuire AFB in about one half hour.

Traveling to Philadelphia

There are better locations for those commuting to Philly but can drive in about 35 minutes via NJ 38 to the Ben Franklin Bridge. If you carefully walk along Larchmont Boulevard to Route 38 there is a covered bus stop with some limited service to Philadelphia. The trip on NJ Transit 317 will take a bit more than one hour.

An excellent resource for education minded renters is the campus of Rowan College at Burlington County practically next door. If you don’t want to attend full time, perhaps a personal enrichment or summer program might be in order.

This site is close to Exit 40 of I-295 although you will have to drive a few miles to access the NJ Turnpike (they pretty much go in the same direction here anyway).

While future residents may be disappointed to find there is no pool at Summit Apartments in Mt. Laurel, there are some resort-like facilities that you can enjoy. Community members have access to the Larchmont Recreation site next door where you can play tennis and basketball or enjoy chasing your kids around the playground. Start your morning with a jog around a trail that encircles a small pond.

As you venture out a little further there are plenty of other exciting opportunities families will want to check out such as an ice skating rink, a trampoline park, and the Funplex center across the street which packs in the fun with a water park, mini golf, arcade and indoor rides.

If you would rather be in touch with nature, Summit Apartments Mount Laurel is one of the closest apartment communities to Rancocas State Park. Spend your free time hiking through the trails, visiting the garden or perhaps fishing.

After an afternoon in the woods, you may want to liven things up a bit with shopping at Centerton Square where you may pick up an aged steak and some veggies from Wegmans or supplies for the week at Costco. It will take a few minutes longer but a trip to the Moorestown Mall will bring you Lord & Taylor, Boscov’s and a 12-screen Regal Cinemas.

This is not the most walkable neighborhood as sidewalks are limited. But you can walk past the main entrance to get an icy treat from Rita’s or maybe some breakfast at Victoria Bagel Bistro.

It’s not the city and not quite the country but Summit Apartments is sure to have something for everyone.
