The Sutton Pointe Apartments in Matawan, NJ will put you within walking distance of the Aberdeen-Matawan train station for an easy commute to New York. Those working in central New Jersey can quickly hop on the parkway from an entrance around the corner. These apartments are older than most in the area and are said to need frequent repairs.

Commuter paradise – this place is ideal for commuters who can walk to the NJ Transit train stop in town for a ride to New York among other stops. Motorists can drive around the corner to access the GSP in both directions. Sutton Pointe is near the train line and highway, but bordered by other residential developments. There are decent sidewalks in the area so you can get to several restaurants, convenience stores and a pharmacy.

CONVENIENCES

In-home washers & dryers – is available in some units.  

There is a small fitness center on the premises where you can grab a workout instead of venturing somewhere else but expect to pay a fee.

PETS

Pets welcome – this community is very pet friendly allowing larger dogs. Fees and rent are a bit on the high side though.

LEISURE          

Some activities– Summit Pointe residents can use the large pool for a fee. We here the pool can get busy at times. The property also offers a small playground area.    

In the downtown area you can watch a movie at Bow Tie Cinemas, go bowling at AMF Strathmore Lanes or visit the library. Nearby Cheesequake State Park provides lake beach and trails.

Mixed– our analysis of 29 reviews of Summit Pointe Apartments shows conflicting results with many renters who are happy living here and others who clearly are not. There were many complaints about regular repairs needed and lack of expediency to complete maintenance. We found numerous comments about dog droppings not being cleaned up, dark parking lots and insufficient snow removal. Several renters mentioned that parking can sometimes be a challenge. Residents were thrilled with this location and felt the property is pet friendly.
