Montclair is located close to the Garden State Parkway between Route 3 and I-280 next to Bloomfield NJ. Residents here can use the DeCamp Bus or New Jersey Transit Bus. There are also several train stops in town with service to Hoboken and New York. Montclair has a mix of lots of older homes with some newer housing and a bunch of apartment communities. You should be able to find a Montclair apartment close to the area near the hospital and Walnut Street Station. There is also a good supply of rentals close to the university in the north. Montclair is an affluent area with higher priced homes so you can expect rent to be higher here than some of the neighboring towns but the range will vary so if you shop around you may find a bargain.
