Castleton-on-Hudson is a village located on the east bank of the Hudson River in the southwestern part of the town of Schodack about 15 miles south of downtown Albany, the New York state capital. The community is a rural residential area yet residents can enjoy a quick commute to the capital district and a 25 minute ride to the Albany International Airport.
