This community is situated along side NC 55 and is within walking distance of a public bus stop. This is a very suburban setting but not far from some useful retail shops.

Transportation

One big advantage of renting here is that you can leave your car home and take the bus to work. There is a Triangle Transit bus stop with the #311 line on NC 55 at Brook Arbor Drive enabling residents to get a ride to RTP. If you plan to drive yourself, NC-55 will lead you right up to the Triangle Expressway for an easy trip to the airport or Research Triangle Park.

Shopping

Directly south of here there is a small shopping center with a Harris Teeter grocery store and CVS. Across the street from there is a Wal-Mart Neighborhood Market allowing you to get food shopping done within one mile of home. Residents of Brook Arbor can also shop at Kohl’s, Target and Office Max, 5 miles south of this address.

Dining

A mile south of here you will find a collection of eateries where you can pick up a meal to go such as pizza, Chinese and subs. The area also includes Starbucks and Dunkin’ Donuts shops.   If you take a turn down High House Road, there is a better selection of restaurants where you can stay to enjoy your meal such as the highly rated Tribeca Tavern serving sweet potato fries, fish tacos and smoked Gouda pasta. Another hot spot is Doherty's Irish Pub & Restaurant.

Sports & Fitness

Just past Edgemore Avenue you will find access to the Batchelor Branch Greenway trail where you can go jogging or for a long walk. Thomas Brooks Park has plenty of athletic fields and courts along with a playground. It is also home to the USA Baseball National Training Complex which will host the NCAA Championships from 2014-2018.
