Shopaholics will be rewarded with an apartment at The Legends that is so close to the major retail area along 18^th Avenue that includes Valley Hills Mall. Living here you can easily take classes or be part of the staff at Catawba Valley Community College. These apartments allow fast access to I-40 and US 70. You can also reach the Catawba Valley Medical Center in a short drive.

Location

With an address just south of the mall, The Legends will put you close to lots of restaurants, a movie cinema, and loads of shops.

Transportation

You can find a bus stop at both the Target store and CVCC that will give you a ride around the city. Keep in mind however that it will be a long walk and there are no sidewalks at the time of our review.   Drivers will be able to access several major highways in addition to McDonald Parkway and 8^th Street DR for easy ways to cross much of the city.

Shopping & Dining

Not only will you have 90 stores in the Valley Hills Mall to explore, but dozens of shop in the surrounding area such as Sam’s Club, Wal-Mart Supercenter and Target. Everything you need to decorate your apartment or fill your closets can be found in minutes from this site.  

Recreation

Start your fun challenging a friend to a competitive game of tennis or basketball, then go for a dip in one of the two community pools. While there is an onsite movie theater, you may want to venture over to the Carmike 14 for the latest and greatest Hollywood action. If you have little ones, there is a family fun center west of the mall. To the east you can find the Hickory Motor Speedway that will thrill race car fans.
